When Esther Bandy was five, she heard the gospel in a Good News Club and received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. That was the most important day of her life. Since then she’s worked as a nurse, a missionary, a Spanish teacher, and a director with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She’s been published in the anthology Treasures of a Woman’s Heart and in the anthology Triumph from Tragedy. She also writes for the online devotional Faith on Every Corner. Under the Tangerine Tree is her debut novel.

Esther is a widow now, but she’s grateful that her beloved husband is with the Lord and he’s no longer suffering from cancer. She’s also very grateful for the wonderful son they were blessed with.

Esther’s featured book is entitled Under the Tangerine Tree.

Description:

Under the Tangerine Tree is an inspirational historical middle-grade novel set in 1963.

Twelve-year-old Angie lives with her parents and her five-year-old brother, Joey, in New York City. After Papa is killed, Mama moves with Angie and Joey to Granny’s house on a country lake in Florida. How can Angie cope with missing Papa, moving to Florida, being the new girl at school, and living with her angry teenage cousin at Granny’s house? Will Angie and Joey survive the mysterious danger that lurks in the lake? With all the changes in Angie’s life, will she ever be happy again?
