Christmas is full of gifts and unexpected surprises of all kinds. This doesn’t merely mean the gifts of love we give to our friends and loved ones, but the spiritual gifts God provides to us each and every day, and in so many ways. For Instance, we think of the most precious gift of all during this Holiday season, the vergin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without this precious miracle, there would be no Christmas, and no hope for those who are living in a world of sin. This is the most precious gift that the heavenly Father gave to the world many thousands of years ago.
However, we also receive gifts in our everyday lives. For instance the miraculous birth of a new baby, who we pray will growup and come to knoe Jesus as his or her Lord and Savior in the coming years. Many times, if a soul has been saved, or a life changed in some way, by just lending that person a helping hand, this small miracle can be a special gift in itself, because when you touch the life of another person, be it a dear friend or a person whom you meet on the street, while you are out doing your last minute shopping, or running the countless errands on your to-do list, the life you touch can be a much richer blessing than you can ever imagine.
This Christmas, if you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to take the time to touch the lives of those you meet in a small, but special way. Whether you are doing your Holiday shopping, running errands, going to church, or just taking care of the important business or personal tasks, take the time to help someone in need. No matter whether it’s as large as making a financial donation to a cause that you feel deeply connected with, or even if you just stop and help someone take his or her packages out to his or her car, or just simpley stop and say a kind word to someone who is down and out, not only will you bless that person, but you will be richly blessed in return. I also encourage you to take a moment to Praise God for these spiritual and heart-felt gifts, no matter how small, because these simple gifts are God’s little Christmas miracles.

Hi Ann, I’ve been at home clearing out my cupboards of clothes I no longer wear and things I’ve grown out of to give away. I usually do it earlier in the month than this and give things to friends and the local hospice shop. It’s all about getting the best use out of things, sometimes we have good clothes and possessions we don’t use because they’re simply not our favourites and we’ve always been encouraged to pass them on.
