Goodness and Mercy By Vanessa Davis Grigs, a book review

As I promised to my twitter followers earlier today here’s a book review of a fabulous book I finished on Saturday. The book is entitled Goodness and Mercy written by Vanessa Davis Grigs. I received this from the Library for Accessible services in Atlanta on digital flash cartridge. Although this may not seem important to some of you, if there are any of my readers who are blind, y’all might appreciate that.
Anyway, to get on with the review. this book is about a girl who grew up in a mentally abusive home, and she started working in a dance hall type of place, before she came to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. The character’s name is Gabrielle Mercedes. Anyway, she discovers that even though her faith in God grows stronger, she still has trials she must face, even a man who constantly cheats on his wife.
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first, but this author uses biblical passages to I guess you could say forewarn the reader of what’s about to happen in each chapter. I don’t know if that’s the right word, but I give this book a 5 star rating anyway, because the author keeps you engaged in the story from the start. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Christian fiction like I do.
Well folks, that’s it for this post, until next time, happy reading, writing, and blogging.
