As I reflected on why God called me to write Praying Through the Seasons: Seven Aspects of Prayer and Communion with God, I realized the book was less about writing and publishing a devotional that touched on God’s love at the surface level, and more about encouraging believers to develop a deeper prayer life, equipping readers to apply biblical truth, helping people recognize God’s voice, and pointing hearts toward Christ.
In a recent article I posted on my website, I share the deeper “why” behind the book and the lessons God has taught me through the writing process.
Whether you’re a reader, writer, ministry leader, or simply someone seeking a closer walk with God, I hope these reflections encourage you.
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments after you’ve read it.
