MORE ABOUT GUEST ENTREPRENEUR EDWARD COHEN

Edward Cohen moved from Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife to Rochester MN in 2010, after retiring from over 25 years in the fields of energy and environmental work for Indiana State Government. The choice of Rochester was to be near to their daughter and her family.

He was born with a retinal degenerative disease called retinitis pigmentosa or RP. In some ways, RP is the opposite of Macular Degeneration. Those with RP often start out very near-sighted, develop cataracts early in life, lose their peripheral vision and their light sensitivity. The person is often totally blind by their mid-40s or sooner. There are about 250 genetic variations of the disease. Recently, a treatment for one of them is being tested. It isn’t the variation he has.

He has been legally blind since 1995, but still has some sight and remains active and involved in his community. In 2015, He started a business to help other blind people which you’ll hear more about.

As a youth, he became aware that his vision issues were more than just near-sightedness. Functioning outside between dusk and dawn or in less than brightly lit rooms was and is increasingly a struggle. Yet in spite of this, he amassed an impressive range of careers, skills and experiences.

The impact of dealing with those challenges likely shaped his personality, making him more outgoing, sensitive to people dealing with their own challenges and perhaps sharpening his sense of humor.

If you or someone you know prefers a print calendar, but have yet to find one that works well, you must check out this one. You’ve never seen one like it. That’s because a person with low-vision designed it and It’s made in the USA.

The features that people love about it include:
• All the letters and numbers are in black and are greater than ten times larger than newsprint.
• Each uncluttered, daily cell is nearly the size of two, 3 x 5 cards the maximum possible space in which to write big, and
• The edge of each daily page is bordered with a thick black line. No more writing off the edge of the paper.

The 2020 edition only costs $22.95 and becomes available online in August, 2019.

Learn all about this unique, 8.5 x 11 weekly/planner/Calendar and its creator at, EZ2SeeProducts.com. While there, also check out the EZ2See® Sticky Notes. Their black borders were designed to work well with the calendar.
