Today I want to talk to you about a fabulous writing tool that I just started using and why I recommend it for all you writers out in the blogosphere. As a professional writer, I often edit my work to as fine a point as I possibly can, to make my pieces shine. However, there will always be things that all writers miss, no matter how many times they go over the work with a fine-toothed comb. Whether you have an editor or not, there’s a tool that I have heard a lot about, yet haven’t started using, that is until now.
This tool can be found at Grammarly.com. You can use the browser add-on or you can download the app for Windows, IOS, Mac OSX, and the plugin for MS office when you sign up for a free Grammarly account.
When I uploaded my most recent articles for a client, Grammarly pointed out a few things that I missed and that MS Word’s spellcheck totally passed over. All I can say is that I love this tool and I plan to use it for all my writing, including this blog post.
Please note the best way for you to use Grammarly, if you use speech output software, also known as a screen reader, is to upload your documents to the Grammarly site. You will not only get suggestions for misspelled words and grammar mistakes, but this tool also gives you examples to show you the correct way a sentence should be written.
My tip for you: if you haven’t already, upload your written documents to Grammarly, before sending it to a publisher, client or your blog. You’ll be glad you did!
