Biography:
Kyla Sims, also known by the pseudonym KMJ, is the author of children’s literature, Duck’s
First Day of School and the young adult novel, Laws of Passion. KMJ has always had a passion for
writing. She penned her first book, featuring the popular character Duck when she was 7 years old. It was
not until KMJ turned 16 years old that she decided to pursue publishing under the advisement of her
mother Latrice.
Now at the age of 22 years old, KMJ continues to cultivate her craft and writing career. Currently,
she is in the process of releasing the next book in her Duck’s First Day series, which follows the theme of
teaching children to appreciate the differences of others. When KMJ is not publishing she enjoys
interacting with fans across social media and posting about books and publishing on her blog titled, KMJ
Book Reveals.
