Original poetry: The Voice With No Sound

Silent words fill my spirit

God’s voice makes no sound,

Yet I can hear it.

These words fill my soul

They give me peace and make me whole

Words of love from the Holy Spirit.

I sit out on the front porch

In the Summer sun

Waiting in the silence

The wind chime song has begun

Lord, what would you have me write today?

Is it a story, a poem,

Or just a chance to get away?

“Come away with me,” you say

In your soundless voice

no sound, no song,

Just words flowing into my soul

To follow, I have but one choice.

“Come away with me and write

The vision and make it plain

Share my words with the world

And sing my joyous refrain.”
